This document discusses analyzing fresh and pasteurized fruit juices to determine if any microorganisms are present. It will compare an unpasteurized fresh LukSamlong juice to a pasteurized Tropicana Twister orange juice. Brown spots found on dilution plates of the fresh juice are identified as seeds, as the fresh juice was not filtered and contained seeds pipetted from the dilution.

1. IntroductionThere are a lot of drinks in the world, many of them are from nature, but some come from chemical treated. Microorganism can be growth on both kinds of drinks. So, in this lab we will analyze drink that made from nature, Fruit Juice. There are two kind of fruit juice, one is fresh fruit juice, which fleshly squeeze juice out of fruit and put it directly in to the bottle. Another is pasteurized fruit juice, which have to be pass heat treated to reduce the number of microorganism that may contain in the juice.Naturally, fruit has very low pH that means the number of microorganism that might grow has a very small number. Still there might be some.In this lab our group will analyze both fresh fruit juice and pasteurized fruit juice. Our analyze are LukSamlong fresh juice and Tropicana Twister pasteurized orange juice. To find out that are there any microorganism on these juice.
