Haryana College of Technology & Management is a technical college located in Kaithal, Haryana established in 1998. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, technology, management, and computer applications. The college aims to provide quality education and training to help students develop their abilities and discover their potential. It has well-equipped facilities like a digital library, computer center, hostels, sports grounds, and transport services. The MBA program was launched in 2007 to impart management education and enable students to be well-equipped for industry requirements.
2. COLLEGE INTRODUCTION
Engineers are not born, they are made. A similar vision
is shared by Dr. Puran Chand Dharmarth Trust, a
philanthropic society, Haryana College of Technology
& Management (HCTM), was established, by this trust
in 1998 at Kaithal (Haryana) to keep pace with the
progress made in the field of engineering and
technology.

We are just 180 kms away from Delhi and well-
connected by road and rail services from
Delhi/Ambala/Kurukshetra. We are 65 kms from
Ambala and 40 kms from Kurukshetra. We are
situated on NH-65 on Ambala Kaithal Road. Our
campus is beautifully planned and splendidly
landscaped with an impressive
building, lawns, playgrounds. We are expanding our
campus into a multi-crore spacious structure having
multi-furious amenities.

11. Digital Library
Library is the heart of an academic institute. The
HCTM library is housed in a fully air-conditioned
building with a seating capacity of 400 students.
The library is fully computerized and has 20
computers equipped with all other peripheral
devices like laser printers, scanners and barcode
readers etc. It has a very good collection of print as
well as electronic resources. It has around 25144
text & reference books, 1000 CDs and VCDs. It
subscribes 112 national & International Journals &
magazines and 364 online international journals in
the field of Engineering, Applied Sciences and
Humanities. The library also provides the Internet
and photocopy services to the users.
12. Computer Centre IT Deptt.
The computer center providing internet facility for hosteller students 24*7.The computer
center also provide internet facility to day scholar students in college timing. The computer
center equipped with 60 computer systems of latest configuration. The internet is totally
working on Wi-Fi enabled system with dedicated bandwidth of 8Mbps from BSNL.The
computer center timing is well managed so that every student can get the benefit of internet
facility. One instructor is always present in the computer center for helping the students to
solve their problems. The college provides sponsorship of various educational website for the
benefit of students. The computer center helps the students in their study and bright carrier.
The faculty members also help the students at the scheduled time to solve the student’s
problems. The computer center is well furnished and managed. The computer center is fully
air conditioned. The computer center has 24 hours UPS backup for continuous facility of
internet. In Computer center “Cybernetra” software is used for the management of internet
access time for students and faculty.
13. Hostel
The college has 5 hostels ( one for girls and 4 for boys). Separate mess and canteen
facilities are available for boys and girls. The hostel provides safe & comfortable
accommodation to boys and girls separately with modern amenities like desert
coolers, geysers, water coolers attached with aqua guards, color televisions, indoor
and outdoor games, gymnasium, telephone, internet facility and medical facility.We
are providingthe desert cooler,one mattress with pillow to each students. The desert

•Transport Adequate transport facility has been provided for both the staff
and the students of the college. The college buses rotate frequently from
college to Kurukshetra, college to Kaithal city and near by places. The college
also provides the transport facility to the students for the purpose of campus
interviews and other industrial visits as when required.

15. SPORTS AND GAMES FACILITIES
College has sufficient area for the sports activities. The grounds for
Cricket, Volleyball, and Football are being properly maintained throughout the year. The
college also has two courts for Lawn Tennis and cemented court for Basketball. It also has
two indoor facilities for Table Tennis (boys and girls) as well as Badminton (Girls Only).
The teams of our college in all these games participate annually in the Kurukshetra
University Intercollegiate Tournaments. This year also our teams of Basketball, Table
Tennis and Football have already participated and preparations are underway in full
swing to participate for Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, and Cricket Tournaments of
Kurukshetra University. The performance of our students was excellent and praiseworthy.
The annual budget for sports is about Rs. 40,000/- for sports purchase and about Rs.
30,000/- for participation in Kurukshetra University Intercollegiate Tournaments to meet
the expenditure like T.A./D.A., refreshment, medical aid, Match etc. of the players (boys
and girls).
Earlier, one of our students Mr. Sunil Kumar was selected in Haryana National Team of
Boxing in the year 2009-2010. and Mr. Pardeep Kumarselected in Haryana National Team
of Basket Ball in the year 2009-2010. This year also the performance of our students was
satisfactory.
The sports activities are also open to hostlers (Both boys as well as girls), which are 500 in
number. We are also planning to construct a multipurpose Gymnasium Hall for
Badminton and Table Tennis games, which will go a long way in providing momentum to
the existing sports facilities in the college.
16. MBA
The Post-graduate Programme in Management at Haryana College of Technology &
Management (HCTM), Kaithal has existed for over two years and has carved a niche for itself.
In fact, the programme is a testimony to one of the key strengths of HCTM, kaithal, which is its
articulate understanding of the existing and future needs of the corporate world. This inherent
dynamism is expressed through path-breaking innovations in both its programs and its
research to keep abreast with the latest. The department of Management Studies imbibes the
overall openness of the culture in HCTM, Kaithal valuing all its stakeholders. In response to
the feed back from the students, alumni and industry, the Department of Management studies
launched MBA programmes in 2007. The objective of the programmes is to impart
management education in an engineering environment so as to enable the student to be
optimally equipped to respond to the changing requirements of the industry in the Indian
ethos. The wide international exposure, linkages with the industry, experience and diversity of
their background create a rich faculty resource. The programme provides a wide range of
choices to the student resulting in attractive employment opportunities at the completion of
the programme by incorporating a combination of various technical skills and value focused
decision making along with the regular teaching. In this curriculum the students of MBA I year
need to go for six week summer training at the end of 2nd Semester. All this is imparted in a
course work offered in a flexible mode.
