Instant photos, also known as instant film or instant prints, allow users to develop photos within minutes of taking the picture. Popularized in the late 20th century by Polaroid, instant film relies on integral film where the negative and positive image are developed together inside the camera. While digital photography has largely replaced instant film cameras, some photographers and artists still use and enjoy the unique aesthetic and immediacy that instant photos provide.
