Ø Supports data ingestion from the manufacturer’s existing systems (both EU-
based and India) using AWS IoT & streaming technologies
Ø Data is stored for BI reporting in AWS Data Lake and uses data querying
techniques with visualisations in a QuickSight dashboard
Ø Factory machine data is streamed into Amazon Time Stream to provide a
secure AWS API-based interface that gives a current view and the ability to
see changes across data points as a time series
Ø Comprehensive Data Lake containing plant and machine data that has over
220TB of data to be exploited, growing at 100GB a day
Ø The ability to access plant and machine data without the need to engage with
providers or 3rd party systems
Ø Increased flexibility on the kind of reporting that can be conducted and the
ability to enrich data from other internal and external sources to get deeper
insights and to provide source data for ML
