I had an art director tell me once, “You know, you like to write more than any copywriter I’ve ever worked with.” I thought it a curious compliment, but one that I readily embraced. It’s true that I like to write headlines, TV spots, packaging, posters, radio commercials, web stuff. I enjoy tackling taglines. I’ve named sodas and beers. I’ve knocked out dozens of manifestos. I like spending a few days with the headphones cranked way up, digging into a brand book or brochure.
