by the shadows, the sidelines are my limit,

toddlers, infants...jumping, swooshing, spinning, twisting
In the shadows it's still, eyes are looking, eyes are watching.
..But all are hoping,desperately hoping to be the chosen one

I'll be so good.....Look,... I can dance!
I'm older now, I'm still waiting,
the shadows now offer me comfort, a place of solace
my eyes are glazed they don't look with hope no more,
