7 Quick Ways To
DISCOVER
Your Writing Calling
How to know you’re really a writer (in 6 minutes or less)
and kick start your writing ministry today
By Pastor QT
Introduction
When God wanted to change the world He wrote a book.
He used people like you and me to transform lives for eternity.
Think about it.
You’re saved today because someone obeyedGod’s prompting to write.
Whatever scripture you heard the day you gave your life to Jesus was
penned by a man under God’s inspiration. God is still at work nowadays,
breathing anointed words into the spirits of modern day scribes who
weave his words with theirs thus bringing life-change.
But the question stands:
How can you tell if writing’s one of your gifts? How can you be sure if
professionalauthorship is the right step for you to take? What are the
signs you’re called to write professionally?
Well, today’s your day.
I’ve crafted seven pinpoint questions to help you answer this crucial
question definitively. No more maybes or ifs from today. You’ll move
ahead with the confidenceof a pro, secure in the knowledge you’re
indeed a writer.
Sounds good?
Scroll down and enjoy.
And oh, don’t miss the double bonus at the end.
First, there’s a bonus chapter and another sumptuous addition that’ll
make you giddy with joy.
Question #1
Do you sense God’s pleasure when you write?
“Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His
pleasure.”
—Psalm 103:21
Everything begins with God.
You exist for his purpose. You were created to fulfill his will. If penning is
one of them, you’ll sense it when you write.
Here’s the point.
When you’re where you’re supposedto be, doing what God wants you to
do, you know deep down on the inside.
How do you feelwhen you’re writing? Do you pick up the whisper of the
Father’s approval? Do you sense angels applauding you?
If you’re a writer, you oftenget to a zone of effortlessexcellence when
you’re writing. Words flow like honey oozing from the honeycomb.
There’s clarity of thought and precisionof expressionthat’s out of this
world. It’s the anointed place where you know it’s beyond training or
education.
It’s divine, it’s a gift heaven has freely bestowed onyou.
When you get to the delicious spot you know God is delighted with you
because you sense his presence all over you.
Have you ever got to that place?
Question #2
Do you love reading?
“When I get a little money, I buy books. If any is left, I buy food and
clothes.”
—Desiderius Erasmus
Writers devour books at every opportunity.
Just like famished Helen gorging herself on her favorite meal at dinner,
her strict calorie diet rule bookgone out of the window.
Writers are book gluttons.
A writer is fascinated by words from novels to encyclopedias or whatever
suits her fancy. Want to find a writer? Easy. Just follow the trail of written
words and you’ll find her, busy munching away, having a words-snack.
Are you obsessed with books? Have you ever been accused of reading
too much? Have you ever been rebuked for reading at meal times?
Writers are avid readers.
This is not to say everyone who reads a lot can write. But the writer is
drawn to books like a fiery country preacheris wedded to his darling
worn-out Bible, for better or for worse.
If you have an insatiable appetite for books, there’s a good chance
you’re a writer.
Question #3
Are people changed by your writing?
“My positionis that serious and goodart has always existed to
help, to serve, humanity.”
—Chinua Achebe
When a writer writes, lives are changed.
When a non-writer writes, well, people read (if at all).End of story. No
testimonies follow.
Have you ever received positive feedbackabout your writing? Not from
your spouse, parent, friend, boyfriend/girlfriend or your English teacher
(God bless her darling heart).
I’m talking about heartfelt responsesfrom total strangers who reach out
to you because they’ve been changed, challenged, and touched by your
words.
When it happened to me for the first time, I was overwhelmed. A dear
lady emailed me and told me how she was impacted by my article. Right
then, the purpose of Christian writing was underlined and bolded.
It’s not about composing abestseller(of course that’d be nice *winks).
It’s about affecting lives for Christ.
But there’s a catch here.
In order for you to know if your words resonate in people’s hearts you’ve
got to share your writing.
Start today.
Now.
Question #4
Are you at peace when you stop writing?
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside
you.”
—Maya Angelou
Can you go to bed unfazed if you’ve missed your writing appointment?
If your answer’s no then you’re a writer.
Maybe I’ve gone ahead of myself here. Do you even have a writing
schedule you stick to everyday no matter what?
Writers cannot not write (pardon the double negative). They feel uptight,
cranky, and ticklish when they’re not crafting words. If you’re a writer
you’re not yourself when you’re not writing.
It’s like having a bloated tummy. You only get a release after belching.
Writers belch on paper, literal or virtual. Journaling is a writer’s way of
burping, spewing one’s thoughts on paper.
If you own diaries of all shapes and sizes, you’re a writer at heart.
Born writers write anywhere and everywhere littering their environment
with their scribbles.Scraps of paper, notepads, walls (when they were
kids), serviettes, diaries, envelopes— nothing is spared.
Is writing a childhood passionwhich has stayed with you till today?
Ever felt like you just have to write?
Then you’re the chosenone my friend.
You have no choice because writing has chosen you.
Question #5
Would you write for no pay all your life?
“I never set a single word down on paper with the thought of being
paid for it. I have written because it fulfilled me. Maybe it paid off
the mortgage on the house and got the kids through college, but
those things were on the side—I did it for the buzz. I didit for the
pure joy of the thing. And if you can do it for joy, you can do it
forever.”
—Stephen King
Writers write for love.
Not the love of money, since cash can fill your fridge but not the crevices
in your heart.
Not the love of fame, since accolades and awards signal man’s
applause but not necessarily heaven’s approval.
They write for the love of the craft— pure white-hot passionfor penning
words propels them. So they write even if they’ll never earn a dime for
their work.
They write for the audience of one.
Themselves.
Strike that out. Make it two—add God into the mix.
Called scribes write for the sheer joy of writing.
In essence, writing is not something they do, it’s who they are.
Question #6
Do you welcome constructive criticism?
“My reluctance to comment has become overpowering…If I were
less concerned with you I would simply say it is very good, I like it
very much, but don’t know where to sendit and leave it at
that…but this is not how writers helpeach other.”
—SamuelBeckett
Professionalwriters receive positive criticism with grace and humility.
They crave writing advice and go out of their way to look for it.
Why?
Because they want to becomethe bestthey can be in their craft. Since
the Bible says iron sharpens iron likewise writers sharpen each other
through critiques.
It takes maturity and professionalism to take writing advice.
True writers do so with a smile, in spite of a tinge of pain inside.
How about an amateur?
She sulks for three months just because an editor suggested she kill her
darling words so as to improve the piece. If you can’t stand endless
suggestedchanges and rewrites, you’re not a pro writer. You’re just a
hobbyist.
Professionalwriters get help from other pros.
They’re:
Ever learning.
Ever growing.
Ever upskilling.
Question #7
Are you fussy about word usage?
“The difference between the almost right word and the right word
is really a large matter. It’s the difference between the lightning
bug and the lightning.”
—Mark Twain
Are you picky about the use of words in a speechor script?
Can’t you stand gross grammar crimes?
Words are an author’s tool. Like any master craftsman, a writer prizes
her tools and gets mad when they’re abused.
Want proof?
Fool around with a painter’s brushes or wrench out the wheels of a
skater’s skateboard and use them to make a toy car. See what reaction
you get. Of course,I won’t be close by when you do your cute
experiment.
No wonder you feellike screaming when folks massacre the language or
misuse words. That’s why you catch yourself having corrected someone
without invitation, or worse throwing a verbal tantrum, just because a
personabused a word.
Your obsessionwith precise diction is a pointer to your writer instincts.
Thank You And Please Do Me A Small Favor

Question #8
How important is writing?
“Writing is more than a hobby, or a passion, or a business, or a
therapy, or a way of gaining perspective on an issue. It’s a ministry,
a calling, a gift from God. Serve mankindwith this wonder-working
endowment.”
—Pastor QT
Words are life-giving especially those inspired by the Holy Spirit.
If you don’t write you’re committing a dual crime.
First, you’re displeasing God,who gave you a wonderful gift to minister
to his people.
Second, you’re defrauding people who were supposed to be impacted
by your gift.
In short, you’re a terrible steward.
Not only that.
You’re also seeping joy and fulfillment out of your life by not doing what
God created you to do.
Better take your writing seriously from today.
Go ahead and write.
Write now.
God is watching and the world’s waiting.
Now For Your Game Changer Bonus (If You Act Fast Enough…)
Rememberthe coolincentive I promised you earlier?
If you’ve written a piece you’re particularly proud of but have been
stewing over because you don’t know if it’s good enough, I’ll take a look
at it and evaluate it for you, for free.
Yep.
As a way of thanking you for becoming a part of the Newbie Christian
Writer family, I’ll do a free critique (worth $50 minimum) for you. Now,
don’t be terrified.A critique is not about criticizing a text. Rather, it’s
simply weighing its strengths and weaknesses and suggesting ways of
improving the weak areas.
Nothing can bump up the quality of your writing at once like a laser-
precise,balanced, and sensitive critique.
If you want to take up this great opportunity you better hurry. I’m doing it
for only twenty one bold souls who put their hands up. First come, first
served. After I get this number the doors shut, and like Noah’s ark,
there’s no handle on the outside.
You can submit up to two thousand words of whatever you are writing.
Any genre. Just shoot me an email qt@newbiechristianwriter.com with
the subject line ‘Free Critique’ and attach your prized script as a word
document.
 In your email provide the following details: Type of piece e.g. blog
post, homepage,nonfictionbook, mag article etc.
 The title of the piece
 Target audience e.g. first-time moms,teens, engaged couples etc.

Grab this lavish offertoday.

told you’re number twenty two.

19 Quick Love Notes You Can Write To Rekindle Your Marriage

  • 6. Lead magnet 7 Quick Ways To DISCOVER Your Writing Calling How to know you’re really a writer (in 6 minutes or less) and kick start your writing ministry today By Pastor QT
  • 7. Introduction When God wanted to change the world He wrote a book. He used people like you and me to transform lives for eternity. Think about it. You’re saved today because someone obeyedGod’s prompting to write. Whatever scripture you heard the day you gave your life to Jesus was penned by a man under God’s inspiration. God is still at work nowadays, breathing anointed words into the spirits of modern day scribes who weave his words with theirs thus bringing life-change. But the question stands: How can you tell if writing’s one of your gifts? How can you be sure if professionalauthorship is the right step for you to take? What are the signs you’re called to write professionally? Well, today’s your day. I’ve crafted seven pinpoint questions to help you answer this crucial question definitively. No more maybes or ifs from today. You’ll move ahead with the confidenceof a pro, secure in the knowledge you’re indeed a writer. Sounds good? Scroll down and enjoy. And oh, don’t miss the double bonus at the end. First, there’s a bonus chapter and another sumptuous addition that’ll make you giddy with joy.
  • 8. Question #1 Do you sense God’s pleasure when you write? “Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure.” —Psalm 103:21 Everything begins with God. You exist for his purpose. You were created to fulfill his will. If penning is one of them, you’ll sense it when you write. Here’s the point. When you’re where you’re supposedto be, doing what God wants you to do, you know deep down on the inside. How do you feelwhen you’re writing? Do you pick up the whisper of the Father’s approval? Do you sense angels applauding you? If you’re a writer, you oftenget to a zone of effortlessexcellence when you’re writing. Words flow like honey oozing from the honeycomb. There’s clarity of thought and precisionof expressionthat’s out of this world. It’s the anointed place where you know it’s beyond training or education. It’s divine, it’s a gift heaven has freely bestowed onyou. When you get to the delicious spot you know God is delighted with you because you sense his presence all over you. Have you ever got to that place?
  • 9. Question #2 Do you love reading? “When I get a little money, I buy books. If any is left, I buy food and clothes.” —Desiderius Erasmus Writers devour books at every opportunity. Just like famished Helen gorging herself on her favorite meal at dinner, her strict calorie diet rule bookgone out of the window. Writers are book gluttons. A writer is fascinated by words from novels to encyclopedias or whatever suits her fancy. Want to find a writer? Easy. Just follow the trail of written words and you’ll find her, busy munching away, having a words-snack. Are you obsessed with books? Have you ever been accused of reading too much? Have you ever been rebuked for reading at meal times? Writers are avid readers. This is not to say everyone who reads a lot can write. But the writer is drawn to books like a fiery country preacheris wedded to his darling worn-out Bible, for better or for worse. If you have an insatiable appetite for books, there’s a good chance you’re a writer.
  • 10. Question #3 Are people changed by your writing? “My positionis that serious and goodart has always existed to help, to serve, humanity.” —Chinua Achebe When a writer writes, lives are changed. When a non-writer writes, well, people read (if at all).End of story. No testimonies follow. Have you ever received positive feedbackabout your writing? Not from your spouse, parent, friend, boyfriend/girlfriend or your English teacher (God bless her darling heart). I’m talking about heartfelt responsesfrom total strangers who reach out to you because they’ve been changed, challenged, and touched by your words. When it happened to me for the first time, I was overwhelmed. A dear lady emailed me and told me how she was impacted by my article. Right then, the purpose of Christian writing was underlined and bolded. It’s not about composing abestseller(of course that’d be nice *winks). It’s about affecting lives for Christ. But there’s a catch here. In order for you to know if your words resonate in people’s hearts you’ve got to share your writing. Start today. Now.
  • 11. Question #4 Are you at peace when you stop writing? “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” —Maya Angelou Can you go to bed unfazed if you’ve missed your writing appointment? If your answer’s no then you’re a writer. Maybe I’ve gone ahead of myself here. Do you even have a writing schedule you stick to everyday no matter what? Writers cannot not write (pardon the double negative). They feel uptight, cranky, and ticklish when they’re not crafting words. If you’re a writer you’re not yourself when you’re not writing. It’s like having a bloated tummy. You only get a release after belching. Writers belch on paper, literal or virtual. Journaling is a writer’s way of burping, spewing one’s thoughts on paper. If you own diaries of all shapes and sizes, you’re a writer at heart. Born writers write anywhere and everywhere littering their environment with their scribbles.Scraps of paper, notepads, walls (when they were kids), serviettes, diaries, envelopes— nothing is spared. Is writing a childhood passionwhich has stayed with you till today? Ever felt like you just have to write? Then you’re the chosenone my friend. You have no choice because writing has chosen you.
  • 12. Question #5 Would you write for no pay all your life? “I never set a single word down on paper with the thought of being paid for it. I have written because it fulfilled me. Maybe it paid off the mortgage on the house and got the kids through college, but those things were on the side—I did it for the buzz. I didit for the pure joy of the thing. And if you can do it for joy, you can do it forever.” —Stephen King Writers write for love. Not the love of money, since cash can fill your fridge but not the crevices in your heart. Not the love of fame, since accolades and awards signal man’s applause but not necessarily heaven’s approval. They write for the love of the craft— pure white-hot passionfor penning words propels them. So they write even if they’ll never earn a dime for their work. They write for the audience of one. Themselves. Strike that out. Make it two—add God into the mix. Called scribes write for the sheer joy of writing. In essence, writing is not something they do, it’s who they are.
  • 13. Question #6 Do you welcome constructive criticism? “My reluctance to comment has become overpowering…If I were less concerned with you I would simply say it is very good, I like it very much, but don’t know where to sendit and leave it at that…but this is not how writers helpeach other.” —SamuelBeckett Professionalwriters receive positive criticism with grace and humility. They crave writing advice and go out of their way to look for it. Why? Because they want to becomethe bestthey can be in their craft. Since the Bible says iron sharpens iron likewise writers sharpen each other through critiques. It takes maturity and professionalism to take writing advice. True writers do so with a smile, in spite of a tinge of pain inside. How about an amateur? She sulks for three months just because an editor suggested she kill her darling words so as to improve the piece. If you can’t stand endless suggestedchanges and rewrites, you’re not a pro writer. You’re just a hobbyist. Professionalwriters get help from other pros. They’re: Ever learning. Ever growing. Ever upskilling.
  • 14. Question #7 Are you fussy about word usage? “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. It’s the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.” —Mark Twain Are you picky about the use of words in a speechor script? Can’t you stand gross grammar crimes? Words are an author’s tool. Like any master craftsman, a writer prizes her tools and gets mad when they’re abused. Want proof? Fool around with a painter’s brushes or wrench out the wheels of a skater’s skateboard and use them to make a toy car. See what reaction you get. Of course,I won’t be close by when you do your cute experiment. No wonder you feellike screaming when folks massacre the language or misuse words. That’s why you catch yourself having corrected someone without invitation, or worse throwing a verbal tantrum, just because a personabused a word. Your obsessionwith precise diction is a pointer to your writer instincts.

  • 16. Question #8 How important is writing? “Writing is more than a hobby, or a passion, or a business, or a therapy, or a way of gaining perspective on an issue. It’s a ministry, a calling, a gift from God. Serve mankindwith this wonder-working endowment.” —Pastor QT Words are life-giving especially those inspired by the Holy Spirit. If you don’t write you’re committing a dual crime. First, you’re displeasing God,who gave you a wonderful gift to minister to his people. Second, you’re defrauding people who were supposed to be impacted by your gift. In short, you’re a terrible steward. Not only that. You’re also seeping joy and fulfillment out of your life by not doing what God created you to do. Better take your writing seriously from today. Go ahead and write. Write now. God is watching and the world’s waiting.
