5. 1 DESCRIPTION Download the part file
from our blog and send it to the laser cutting
machine. Insert the MDF board in the machine
and start the cutting process. This cutting
process results in four parts: calibers A and B and
the two holders.

6. 2 DESCRIPTION Mount the spade drill
bit (24mm) into the pillar drill machine. Clamp
the wooden holder so that the point of the bit is
at the end of the path (as indicated on the
technical drawing). Drill a whole until the circular
groove is 3mm deep.

7. 3 DESCRIPTION Use tie-wraps to
mount the two holders on the left and right
armchair at a distance of 150mm from the
beginning. Make sure that the opening is
pointed to the back of the chair.

8. DESCRIPTION Search a bicycle wheel
with an diameter that is 50mm larger than the
wheelbase diameter of the desk chair.
Remove the spokes with a grinding disk, then cut
out a part of the contour of the wheel so the
desk chair can roll in and out.

9. 5 DESCRIPTION Enlarge the first and
seventh spoke hole on both sides of the cutted
bicycle wheel with an M6 drill. The straight
distance between the first and seventh hole
should be around 300 mm.

10. 6 DESCRIPTION Cut two metal bars to
a length of 485 mm, and two bars to a length of
755mm.

indicated in the technical drawing. Make use of
caliber A in order to obtain the correct angles.

(M6 pitch 1mm) in the short end of the four
bars. The thread must have a length of minimum

13. 9 DESCRIPTION Put a short and large
bar in the enlarged holes at one side of the
bicycle wheel. Make grooves with a grinding disk
where the two bars should be mounted
together. Connect the two bars with tie-wraps.

together to obtain a long fabric tube. Turn the

17. 13 DESCRIPTION Stretch the fabric tube
an pull it over the profile of the bicycle wheel to
get a better finish. Make four holes in the fabric
where the metal tubes come through.

18. 14 DESCRIPTION Cut out fourteen
rubber patches, by making use of caliber B. Fold
the rubber patch so that the ends match and
punch five holes (1,5mm) through this patches.
