IBM Netezza is one of the new advanced technologies that merge database analytics and data
warehousing into a high–performance, massively advanced, scalable, parallel analytical
platform. It also automates and improves data processing efficiency and handles sophisticated
algorithms in minutes.
IBM Netezza appliances are redundant and fault-tolerant systems. IBM Netezza replication
services for disaster recovery improves fault tolerance by extending redundancy across local
and wide area networks. It protects against data loss by synchronizing data on the primary
system (the master node) with data on one or more target nodes (subordinates). These nodes
make up a replication set. It is one of the new advanced technologies that merge in-database
analytics and data warehousing.
