Cecilie is a 20-year-old elite swimmer who has been part of the Danish Disability Team since 2004. She was struggling with nerves and lack of confidence, which affected her performance. She visited Niels Eschricht Jensen, who helped her gain self-confidence, focus, and control of her nerves. At the World Cup in August 2010, with Niels' help, she won two bronze medals, including beating out a Greek contestant in the final 5 meters of a close race, which she credits Niels for giving her the nerve and willpower to do. Niels has given her tools to become a top elite swimmer in the world.

To whom it may concern:-
I am 20 years old, a Team Denmark student at Slagelse Gymnasium, where I have studied the last
4 years. I am an elite swimmer and have been part of the Danish Disability Teamsince 2004. I
swim in Ringsted Swimming Club normally, and have participated in European Cups, World Cups
and Paralympics.
In spite of me taken part in these international cups since 2006, I have always felt that I did not
have control of my nerves, and at times, my own confidence disappeared – which was something
that concerned me and made my focus blurred. This was the reason for me contacting Niels
Eschricht Jensen.
My visits to Niels were succesful in August 2010, where I took part in the World Cup in Holland.
When I first visited Niels, I did not dare tell him what I expected and what I was feeling, but when I
left his house before departure to Holland, I had realistic expectations, and expectations worth
dreaming of. I was taught to believe in myself, to control my thoughts and to stay focused when
things mattered. Additionally, I became much more self-confident, which meant that, not only did
I dream of being in the finals, I started to dream of medals.
Niels deserves a lot of praise and gratitude from me. He certainly has a share in the fact that I won
2 bronze medals – medals that I was dreaming of winning thanks to the tools he gave me. The first
medal I won in a close race with a Greek contestant. I was number four in the whole race but the
last 5 meters I sped up and beat her at the line! It was a great feeling – and I dare say that without
the help of Niels, I wouldn´t have had the nerve nor the willpower to fight in such a close race.
My work with Niels has given me more self-confidence, I am more focused and I have gained much
more control of my nerves. Although Niels frightened me a little at first by going straight to the
point, it was exactly what I needed! Niels has given me tools to become a top elite swimmer of the
world.
