Artistic Director​, Blindfaith Theatre, Chicago (1999­2009)
❖ Founding Artistic Director of an award­winning, not­for­profit theater company that
produced a minimum of two productions a year for ten years. It was the vision of Blindfaith
Theatre to create productions of high theatricality representing as wide an array of genres as
possible.
❖ Lead the organization from a very meager beginning producing Shakespeare in a church for a
few hundred dollars to a highly respected off­Loop theatre company receiving support from
the Department of Cultural Affairs, The Richard Driehaus Foundation, and many private
donors.
❖ Directed most productions which garnered many Joseph Jefferson nominations over the years
and named critics choice by most Chicago newspapers (Tribune, Sun­Times, Time Out, New
City, Reader)
❖ Blindfaith Theatre productions were the recipient of space grants allowing for performances
at the acclaimed state­of­the­art DCA Theatre.
❖ Blindfaith’s production of Gorey Stories received great acclaim from critics and audiences
alike and was remounted for the holiday season three years in a row finally culminating in
being invited to perform at Chicago’s Theatre on the Lake, which remounts the city’s most
popular and interesting shows.
