Objective
I am a determined, hardworking senior looking to build a better understanding of the fundamentals of civil engineering from construction
and geotechnical to design and analysis.
Work Experience
Saint’s Construction, Merrimack NH May 2014-Ausgust 2014
Assisted privately owned contracting company for the summer. I worked both private and government jobs performing tasks that would
range from painting and putting up drywall to installing light fixtures and installing siding on houses. This gave me a better feel for
hands on labor and a sense of pride in seeing my hard work take physical form.
MSE Branded Foods, Merrimack NH May 2013-July 2013
Gained experience in customer relations as I handled transactions and assisted customers with requests daily. I would often arrive and
assist in preparing food and as we got busy I would have to handle orders at the same time, making me essential to the store operations.
Triangle Credit Union May 2010-July 2010
Earned internship through high school involvement. I worked as bank teller, and was trusted to handle customers’ day-to-day
transactions. This helped me gain experience in handling finances as well as customer service.
Market Basket September 2009-July 2012
Promoted to Meat Department. I became responsible for maintaining department’s appearance, handling customers’ questions and
requests. I was also often left alone to run the shop and trusted in making sure co-workers performed their duties, as well as closing the
department and making sure it was properly prepared for the next morning.
Education
North Carolina State University- Civil Engineering (Structural Analysis) 2011-2015 (Anticipated Graduation)

Hydrology, Materials of Construction, Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering Graphics, Mechanics of Solids, Statics
Technical Skills: AutoCad Revit, AutoCad Navisworks, AutoCad, SAP, SolidWorks, Rhino, MatLab, vPython, Fortran, Microsoft Excel
Activities
Vice President for American Society of Civil Engineers (2015)
Even though I am planning on graduating in December, because of the leadership skills I displayed as a secretary, I was asked to take
over as the Vice President for the semester I will be present. The role will include overseeing other officers as well as assisting in logistics
with the club, concrete canoe team, and steel bridge team.
Secretary for American Society of Civil Engineers (2014-2015)
Being the secretary requires a high level of involvement as I am responsible for helping to organize and run events and meetings,
promoting these events and meetings, and assisting in fundraising and recruitment.
Captain of Concrete Beam Team
I was in charge of constructing a six foot long, bamboo reinforced concrete beam that competed in the American Society of Civil
Engineers’ Carolinas Conference. I had to build a custom mold from scratch and obtain the proper materials as defined by the conference
rules, and finally cast the completed cross section of custom built stirrups, bamboo, and steel compression reinforcement. This gave me
experience meeting design specifications and managing a construction timeline.
Concrete Canoe Team
With the concrete canoe team I dedicated many late nights to help bring the canoe to life. I assisted with the design in AutoCad, making
the many layers of the mold, casting the very specific and unique concrete mix, and sanding the final product.
