Nabil Golmohamad worked for Saif Noman Said & Partners (SNS) in Saudi Arabia for over 30 years, first as their Marketing Manager from 1978-1986 and then as their Factory General Manager from 1986-2004. As Marketing Manager, he was instrumental in introducing and selling new construction technologies like hollow core slabs in Saudi Arabia through his technical expertise and ability to explain concepts in both English and Arabic. As Factory General Manager, he oversaw the successful introduction and standard adoption of other innovative construction products in the region. His leadership at SNS contributed greatly to their early success until new company management replaced the trusted team in 2004.

Nabil Golmohamad
To whom it may concern. 12th
September 2014
I have known Nabil Golmohamad for 36 years. He was appointed as the
Marketing Manager to a newly formed organisation called Saif Noman Said &
Partners (SNS) in 1978. The aim of the Partnership, based in Jeddah Saudi
Arabia, was to promote advanced construction technologies in the Kingdom.
By 1978 the first factory to manufacture Hollow core slabs was operational
and there was an important role for a Marketing Manager to sell the untried
product into a very traditional construction market.
The factory was designed and constructed by Hollow Core Systems (Mid-
East) Ltd (HCSME), the Technical Managers to SNS. As the Managing
Director of HCSME, a position I still retain today, it was incumbent on me to
interview and approve the appointment of Nabil. I considered that he had
sufficient engineering qualifications to be able to technically sell SNS’s
products.
It has to be said that early successes of SNS were entirely down to the
industriousness of Nabil in introducing SNS’s Hollow core products. An
essential ingredient to his success was also his ability to explain complex
technical terms to local Saudis and their engineers in Arabic. Without a bi-
lingual English/Arabic engineer SNS would never have prospered. Nabil was
also able to discuss complex design issues with the local and international
consultants on all the various aspects of the use of a typical Hollow core
slab.
2. In 1986 Nabil was appointed as SNS’s Factory General Manager in the
Western Province of Saudi Arabia. Under his leadership many innovative
new technologies; GRC, Hypercrete and TermoDeck were introduced into
the local construction market and became standard products.
Nabil was also responsible for negotiating and implementing large contracts
awarded to SNS for the campus’s in the King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah
and the Um Al Qara University in Makkah.
Nabil’s base was located at the SNS Jeddah factory and in this way he could
manage the overall operations and solve all production and labour issues, as
they arose, immediately.
In 2004 all the Partners of SNS had died and shortly thereafter the company
was put under the control of a Custodian. All the trusted management team
were ultimately pushed aside to the lasting detriment of the company. There
is no better testament to Nabil’s ability than the knowledge that today there
26 similar manufacturers of the concrete products originally introduced into
Saudi Arabia by SNS under Nabil’s marketing efforts and finally his overall
management of SNS.
He is still today supporting the sale of our products as an independent
Business Development Manager.
