What They Do
New Homes Mortgage Services is an independent financial
advice company based in Cannock employing around 40 staff.
It was recently awarded Best Mortgage Broker 2012 by the
Sesame network.
While the company can arrange mortgages for any property
purchase, it specialises in mortgages for new homes and
receives referrals from many of the major, national
homebuilders as well as smaller, local builders.
IT is a crucial factor in its business as much of its work involves
inputting mortgage applications online.
The Brief
New Homes Mortgage Services had an IT system which partner
John Wakefield said they had recently invested in.
The firm had been with the same IT support company for 15
years and when the server suffered a major system failure, New
Homes Mortgage Services could not contact their IT Company.
John said: “It was a complete nightmare. We had been with the
same company from the day we started business and suddenly
they had gone out of business at the time we needed them
