- 4. HOW DO WE MAKE FRIENDS? You may be asking yourself questions like, "What if they don't like me?" or "What if they make fun of me?" The truth is, we are all afraid of rejection. You are not alone in this. I remember transferring to a new school and not knowing where to begin. I had the same self-doubt. Then, one day, I pulled myself up and brushed all those doubts aside. I joined clubs and started in activities that were like my interests. I worked on group projects with like-minded peers. I took the initiative. I asked them about their interests and their favorite things such as "Do you have any pets?" And asked them to hang out with me outside of school or they asked me. I made some awesome friends by sharing the same interests as them. The friends that saw my kindness, shared the same interests and became long-time friends.

You should love being around your friends, chat all day long, and have a great time with them. They should feel the same way. You both should be able to confide in each other and talk freely.
