My general aim is working to advance the design and development of games and other tools that help people to live, learn, and play. At current, I'm focused on games and other playful tools for learning. In my work with UW-Extension I'm primarily concerned with designing solutions for learners in higher education, although I retain an abiding interest in both K-12 and informal learning activities. In my work with Nerd Kingdom I'm focused on advancing our collective understanding of game based learning that takes place "in the wild."
