• Provide customer service at Circulation Desk, Copy Center, Interlibrary Loans and Computer Labs to a
diverse crowd of patrons. Serve patrons by checking out books, locating resources, processing Interlibrary
Loans and answering various research questions.
• Hire, train and manage 18 part-time student employees. Duties including, but not limited to, assigning
daily tasks, monitoring shelf reading sections, making schedules, and enforcing customer service best
practices.
• Create original content for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Post multiple times each day. Write for the
inclusion piece in the College of Business’s weekly newsletter. Write weekly for the Library’s blog.
• Wrote new employee training manual in 2015. Update the manual and implement its guidelines into
training.
• Answer reference questions and strive to provide exemplary answers to patrons. Served as the Reference
Librarian on duty at Michigan State University satellite library locations during my Undergraduate
education.
• Prepare and submit yearly budget for Business Library employee wages.
• Meet weekly with the Head and Assistant Head of the library to communicate ideas, goals and concerns.
• Track and report statistics from the Circulation Desk.
Young Authors’ Conference July 2014 – July 2015
Senior Intern
• Planned a two day conference for approximately 100 students aging from grade 5 to grade 12 centered
around writing which featured two Writers In Residence.
• Worked one on one with several students ages 8-17. Both critiquing their writing and encouraging their
reading.
• Researched grant material and relevant statistics for conference centered around young authors’ and
young adult/children’s literature.
• Engaged with young adults and children on social media. Engaged with the same audience through a
weekly blog.
• Recruited and trained volunteers. Led a team of three interns.
