CURRICULUM VITAE
Miroslav Lisić was born on October 10, 1945 in Zagreb, where he finished
primary and grammar school in 1964. He graduated from the School of Medicine
University of Zagreb in 1970, and after obligatory internship he passed his
professional exam in 1972. For a shorter period of time he worked as a physician in
Dobrna, the Republic of Slovenia, and towards the end of 1972 he began his
specialization in internal medicine at the Clinical Hospitals Ljubljana Institute for
Pulmonary Diseases Golnik, where he worked until May 1974. The same year he
started working at the University Hospital for Infectious Diseases “Dr Fran
Mihaljević” in Zagreb where he began his specialization in infectious diseases.
He passed his specialist exam in infectious diseases in 1978 and worked at the
Intensive Care Unit of the University Hospital for Infectious Diseases till 1990. From
1980 he worked as assistant lecturer at the Department for Infectious Diseases School
of Medicine University of Zagreb. In 1989 he defended his doctoral thesis and in
1991 he became the research assistant in the field of medicine, and by the end of the
same year he was elected assistant professor for the field of infectious diseases.
In 1992 he was appointed the head of the Ministry of Health Reference Center
for AIDS, the position of which he held for two years. In 1996 to date he performs the
duties of the coordinator for infectious diseases diagnostics for adult patients at the
University Hospital for Infectious Diseases, and from 1998 the duties of the head of
Department for AIDS. In 1999 he was elected associate professor in the field of
infectious diseases. To date he published 76 scientific-professional papers of which 4
were published in journals indexed in CC and 12 indexed in Index Medicus.
Now I working under contract as a teacher at the Medical Faculty in Zagreb,
in association HUHIV and Check Point Zagreb where young people could get tested
for HIV and HCV. I hired a forensic medical expert in the field of infectious diseases.
