Milan Taylor has extensive experience as a community organizer in Queens, New York, and at the age of 21 he founded the Rockaway Youth Task Force (RYTF). As CEO of RYTF, he oversees financial administration, fundraising, and program evaluation for a grassroots youth advocacy organization staffed completely by young people from the Rockaway Peninsula. When Hurricane Sandy struck a year after the formation of RYTF, Milan Taylor directed his team in the planning and execution of food and supply deliveries to Far Rockaway residents unable to leave their high-rise apartments.
