I am currently director of the ARK-Genomics centre for comparative and functional genomics, an established high-throughput research and technology laboratory based at The Roslin Institute. We combine the latest genomics technologies with bioinformatics expertise, and no other laboratory in the world provides the same range of integrated technologies allied with expertise in animal genetics and genomics. My own research interests are in the application of next-generation technologies to functional genomics in systems of relevance to animal health and food security.
