Health Savings Accounts
From A to Z
Many employers have discovered that
Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are
a valuable employee benefit, helping
employees with high deductible health
plans to defray medical expenses and
receiving potential tax breaks.
As an employer, you have the ability to
offer this benefit to your employees
through your partnership with Provident.
Employers also have the option of
making contributions to their employees’
HSAs, which may be less costly than the
premiums associated with low deductible
health care coverage.
A pre-recorded online webinar that
discusses HSAs, how they work and the
benefits they offer is available for viewing
on our Web site. Go to providentcu.org,
click on the “Insurance” tab on the menu
bar on our homepage, then click on
“Health Coverage.” From this page, click on
the “HSA Online Seminar” icon on the right
sidebar and enter the password “hsa” (all
lowercase).

Two New Branches Open in December
A cooperative effort between CommonWealth
Central Credit Union and Provident has resulted
in welcoming approximately 8,500 new members
to our credit union family this December. Along
with our new members, we are also pleased to
announce that two additional branches available
to all Provident members.
The two new branch offices, which will be under
Provident management effective December 1,
are located at:
Sunnyvale Community Branch:

Hours at both branches will be 9:30 a.m.-6:00
p.m., Monday through Friday.

2. Having convenient access to your accounts isn’t an
option—it’s a necessity. Provident makes access easy
and convenient (not to mention free) in many ways:
Account Manager
Online banking has become a part of everyday life and
Account Manager is as accessible as it gets. Log in
anytime of the day or night to verify account balances,
review account history, check daily transactions,
transfer funds, download e-statements, view check
images and more.
Bill Manager
Accessed through Account Manager, Bill Manager is
the ideal way to pay bills. Both one-time and monthly
payments can be scheduled and managing every
aspect of bill payment—from payees to due dates,
payment amounts to payment history—has never been
more convenient.
Personal Assistance Online
Submit questions and requests to
Provident representatives via secure
e-mail through Account Manager.
Responses are usually sent the
same day, excluding weekends and holidays.
Touch Tone Teller
Our automated account-access-by-phone service
provides balance inquiries, fund transfers, account
history, ATM and branch locators and more. An
Account Manager User ID and PIN (separate from the
Account Manager password) are required. Access to
Touch Tone Teller is toll free: (800) 626-0224.
Mobile Banking*
Account access is just a web-enabled mobile device
away with Mobile Banking, Provident’s newest
convenience service. Many of Account Manager’s
features are available through Mobile Banking, such
as balance inquires, fund transfers, recent account
history and a branch and ATM locator. All it takes is an
Account Manager User ID and password.
Full Protection with Provident’s Zero
Liability Guarantee
Technology is terrific, but it isn’t foolproof. With
our free Zero Liability Fraud Protection Guarantee,

unauthorized electronic activity through all of the
access services listed above, as well as fraudulent
electronic transactions at retailers and ATMs. As
