• The compete information is maintained by the Operations team
with the help of Sales and Marketing
• Competitor information is reviewed every 30 days at a minimum
• Our advantages and ways to overcome objections related to
competitors is available for each competitor
• New competitor information can be requested at at anytime for
new or existing competitors
• New compete information can be submitted via email to
Ops@testcompany.com

You will find the competitor tab across the header in Salesforce, if
it is not visible, you can add it with the + at the end of the row.

• Information is collected and analyzed by the Marketing team to
determine the best information about the competitor to help you
win deals.
• The information is then entered into the Competitor record in
Salesforce
• You can request new competitors be added or updates to existing
competitors from the competitor tab.

Weaknesses, and other data form the competitor record, is
displayed on the Opportunity Competitor for you to help
overcome objections

Editor's Notes

  1. This is a sample of documentation for End Users. This example is for the Competitor object that is connected via a junction object to an Opportunity
  2. General overview of what the competitor object is, the obligation the sales team has to complete the information and the obligation that Ops and Marketing have, to keep the information up to date for the sales team.
