1. I am a seniorenrollmentcounseloratHarrisburgUniversityof Science andTechnology. Ihave workedin
highereducationnowsince 2008, startinginsalesafterhighschool I have workedmywayup to beinga
managerfor retail storesandhonedinonmy leadershipskillsevenbefore startingmydegrees.
Beginningin2007 I startedmyAssociate’satUniversityof Phoenix andsoonafterfoundmyself working
as the Administrative Assistantforthe HarrisburgCampus.Asa counselorfor2 yearsI was one of the
top counselorsenrollingclose to10 if not more studentseachmonth.
The opportunitycame aboutto workat Central PennCollege inJanuary2010, lookingtoserve fora
small private for-profitcollege wasano brainierforme andI was excitedforthe move. In2010 CE
Admissionshadtheirbestyeareverandduringthatyearfor the Fall termI myself enrolled48students
injust one termafteronlybeinghere 9 months. Since mystart here at Central PennIhave enrolled392
students,havinglarge enrollmentterms,andevenbeingrecognizedbyDr.MelissaVaydaandentered
the 100 Clubforhaving111 enrollmentin2011. In 2012 I graduatedfromCentral PennCollege withmy
Bachelor’sinCorporate Communications.IgraduatedwithMaster’satCapellaUniversity,Master’sin
HigherEducationwitha specializationinHigherEducationLeadershipandAdministration.
In 2013 I alsohelpedenrollthe 21 newGraduate studentsinourfirstMasters cohort. I alsoservedas
the Vice Presidentof Central PennCollege AlumniAssociationfortwoyears,duringmytime servingwe
have addedmanyeventsandincreasedinvolvementwithourAlumni.
In 2014 I had the amazingopportunitytojoinHarrisburgUniversityof ScienceandTechnologyand
because of my impressive enrollmentrecruitingnumbersIwasbroughtonincrease theirenrollments.
In the Fall of 2015 myself andone othercounselordidjustthatby havingthe largestenrollmentinthe
10 year historyof the school with124 freshmanstartinginFall 2015.
I have beena part of many activitiesanddepartmentshere atHU includinghelpingwithInternational
StudentServiceswithcustomerservice andintake duringorientation. HU’ssummerBRIDGE program
whichisa steppingstone forstudentsthatdon’tquietreachthe minimumGPA of regularadmissions
but showpotential. The Directorof StudentServicesandmyself grew thisprogramintoamostpositive
outcome withhigherenrollmentandhigherretention.
Beinga part of the admissionsenvironmentfor8 yearshas led me to greatachievements,experiences
and knowledge. Iamreadyto take onmy nextchallenge bybecomingthe Directorof Admissionsatan
institution. Iam alsocurrentlya yearand a class intomyDoctorate programat CapellaUniversity. Iam
goingto be doingmy dissertationonretentionandthe relationtoadmissionsstandardsandIam
excitingtobe startingthisprocess. My Doctorate will be anEdD, Doctorate of Educationwitha
specializationinHigherEducationLeadershipandAdministration.
I am alsoa SuperStar ConsultantwithScentsywith16teammembers& we are workinghard forme to
become a Directorand start enrichingothers’liveswiththisopportunitytoearnextramoney.
