• Graduated in 2001 from Drake University in
Des Moines, IA
• Have worked as a pharmacist in a variety of
retail settings across Iowa for the past 14
years.
• I currently float for Kmart Pharmacies in Iowa
and Nebraska

• Not too long ago, vaccines were only given in
doctor’s offices.
• That changed around 2005 when the
American Pharmacists Association (APhA)
introduced pharmacist-based vaccination
training.
– I was certified in 2007
– Most new pharmacists are now trained during
pharmacy school.

• Families of employees are welcome at the clinic
– Minimum age requirements vary by state:
» Iowa: 6 years old
» Nebraska: 3 years old
– We will bring everything that is needed.

– We can run a “test claim” to see the cost per

vaccinations at no charge
• If you don’t have group insurance, there are payment

and receive their vaccination at any time.
