Process of the Square Pharmaceuticals Limited
Objectives of the Study
The objectives of the study are as follows:
I. To observe and evaluate the recruitment and selection process of
Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL).
II. To identify and find out the problems (if any) regarding recruitment
and selection process of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL).
III. To suggest some improvements and recommendations regarding the
problems of recruitment and selection process of Square
Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL).
Methodology of the Study
Sources of Data Collection
In order to make the report more meaningful and accurate, two sources of data and information have
been used. These are primary sources and secondary sources.
The "Primary Sources’’ data and information are:
i. Practical Desk Work.
ii. Face to Face Conversation with Executives.
iii. Direct Observations.
Methodology of the Study
The β€œSecondary Sources” of data and information are:
i. Annual Reports of SPL.
ii. Different Journals.
iii. Newspaper.
iv. Audit Reports of SPL.
v. Different Websites.
vi. Relevant Books, Published and Unpublished data.
vii. Research Papers.
viii. Different Files and Documents of SPL.
METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY
Data Analysis and Presentation
In this study all data have been analyzed descriptively and presented by Microsoft Word.
MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
I. Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) has a structured and standard recruitment and selection policy.
This is strictly followed by the selection board that is empowered by the organization to avoid any
unfair activities during hiring employees.
II. Even though theoretically SPL follow each step of Recruitment and Selection process but practically the
case differs in the section of timeline.
III. SPL encourages fresh graduates to start their career in their organization.
IV. SPL management recruits mostly post graduates for vacant executive or above positions as per current
recruitment & selection criterion.
V. Top management of SPL takes more time regarding their final selection decision to the HR team.
VI. Several rules and process are involved in recruitment and selection process of SPL. For this reason,
many potential candidates may feel discouraged to apply.
MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
VII. Sometimes there was no vacancy announcements found published in newspaper or internal notice
board for some positions. Even sometimes respected department or their representatives were not
always informed of the matter about the recruit process was going on for his/her department.
VIII. Sometimes it has been observed that some CV’s with familiar references are given importance to
recruit in selected positions.
IX. In field state, SPL conduct their business with insufficient manpower. As a result, employee feel more
burden to complete his assigned task.
X. SPL consider the outlook of the candidates for hiring management employee and the reason behind
considering outlook on the reference of some officials is that, the management employees are the
representative of the organization and directly affect the image of the company.
MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
XI. Based on employee skills, educational background, experience of work employee can be recruited in SPL.
XII. Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) is among one of those successful companies which does not only
conduct their business activity just to earn money but also give enough emphasis on building a satisfying
workforce.
XIII. The turnover rate of MPO in Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) is higher due to lengthy recruitment &
selection process and company benefits & compensations.
MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY
I. To make recruitment and selection process more effective, top management as well as executives
should be aware about the length of time consumed for total hiring process.
II. SPL management should emphasis on experience candidates with fresh candidates for critical positions
to achieve company goal within shortest possible time.
III. SPL need emphasis on recruitment & selection criterion for both potential post graduate and fresh
graduate candidates as the current recruitment & selection criterion might discourage potential fresh
graduates to apply for the post and thus SPL might fail to attract talented candidate.
IV. Top management or decision-making authority should response promptly regarding their final selection
decision to the HR team.
V. Support from higher authority of SPL is needed during interview conduction and evaluation
MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY
VI. Top management should make the total recruitment and selection procedure easier and faster to
overcome all the drawbacks of present hiring procedure and increase the number of applicants
which ensure that managers cut down unnecessary bureaucratic rules and process.
VII. SPL should too much careful about Recruitment and Selection process for MPO, so that turnover
rate will be reduced than previous year as SPL is facing problem with the huge turnover rate in the
field force.
VIII. All Recruitment and Selection criteria should be followed for every vacant position at any time and
also ensure no process violation regarding Recruitment and Selection process in Square
Pharmaceuticals Limited.
MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY
IX. SPL management should be restricted regarding any nepotism or extra preferences for selecting
candidates during recruitment in any selected positions which are reducing bureaucracy for
managers and also ensure that they are properly trained & fully understand the implication of
the legal framework that leading the good practice in recruitment and selection process.
X. SQUARE should hire more employee in sales & marketing team as they often face to challenging
& problematic job in field state and dealing with large consumer market.
XI. Recruitment and Selection policy of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited should be updated so that it
can compete with other organization as well.

  • 4. Objectives of the Study The objectives of the study are as follows: I. To observe and evaluate the recruitment and selection process of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL). II. To identify and find out the problems (if any) regarding recruitment and selection process of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL). III. To suggest some improvements and recommendations regarding the problems of recruitment and selection process of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL).
  • 5. Methodology of the Study Sources of Data Collection In order to make the report more meaningful and accurate, two sources of data and information have been used. These are primary sources and secondary sources. The "Primary Sources’’ data and information are: i. Practical Desk Work. ii. Face to Face Conversation with Executives. iii. Direct Observations.
  • 6. Methodology of the Study The β€œSecondary Sources” of data and information are: i. Annual Reports of SPL. ii. Different Journals. iii. Newspaper. iv. Audit Reports of SPL. v. Different Websites. vi. Relevant Books, Published and Unpublished data. vii. Research Papers. viii. Different Files and Documents of SPL.
  • 7. METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY Data Analysis and Presentation In this study all data have been analyzed descriptively and presented by Microsoft Word.
  • 8. MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY I. Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) has a structured and standard recruitment and selection policy. This is strictly followed by the selection board that is empowered by the organization to avoid any unfair activities during hiring employees. II. Even though theoretically SPL follow each step of Recruitment and Selection process but practically the case differs in the section of timeline. III. SPL encourages fresh graduates to start their career in their organization. IV. SPL management recruits mostly post graduates for vacant executive or above positions as per current recruitment & selection criterion. V. Top management of SPL takes more time regarding their final selection decision to the HR team. VI. Several rules and process are involved in recruitment and selection process of SPL. For this reason, many potential candidates may feel discouraged to apply.
  • 9. MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY VII. Sometimes there was no vacancy announcements found published in newspaper or internal notice board for some positions. Even sometimes respected department or their representatives were not always informed of the matter about the recruit process was going on for his/her department. VIII. Sometimes it has been observed that some CV’s with familiar references are given importance to recruit in selected positions. IX. In field state, SPL conduct their business with insufficient manpower. As a result, employee feel more burden to complete his assigned task. X. SPL consider the outlook of the candidates for hiring management employee and the reason behind considering outlook on the reference of some officials is that, the management employees are the representative of the organization and directly affect the image of the company.
  • 10. MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY XI. Based on employee skills, educational background, experience of work employee can be recruited in SPL. XII. Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) is among one of those successful companies which does not only conduct their business activity just to earn money but also give enough emphasis on building a satisfying workforce. XIII. The turnover rate of MPO in Square Pharmaceuticals Limited (SPL) is higher due to lengthy recruitment & selection process and company benefits & compensations.
  • 11. MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY I. To make recruitment and selection process more effective, top management as well as executives should be aware about the length of time consumed for total hiring process. II. SPL management should emphasis on experience candidates with fresh candidates for critical positions to achieve company goal within shortest possible time. III. SPL need emphasis on recruitment & selection criterion for both potential post graduate and fresh graduate candidates as the current recruitment & selection criterion might discourage potential fresh graduates to apply for the post and thus SPL might fail to attract talented candidate. IV. Top management or decision-making authority should response promptly regarding their final selection decision to the HR team. V. Support from higher authority of SPL is needed during interview conduction and evaluation
  • 12. MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY VI. Top management should make the total recruitment and selection procedure easier and faster to overcome all the drawbacks of present hiring procedure and increase the number of applicants which ensure that managers cut down unnecessary bureaucratic rules and process. VII. SPL should too much careful about Recruitment and Selection process for MPO, so that turnover rate will be reduced than previous year as SPL is facing problem with the huge turnover rate in the field force. VIII. All Recruitment and Selection criteria should be followed for every vacant position at any time and also ensure no process violation regarding Recruitment and Selection process in Square Pharmaceuticals Limited.
  • 13. MAJOR RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY IX. SPL management should be restricted regarding any nepotism or extra preferences for selecting candidates during recruitment in any selected positions which are reducing bureaucracy for managers and also ensure that they are properly trained & fully understand the implication of the legal framework that leading the good practice in recruitment and selection process. X. SQUARE should hire more employee in sales & marketing team as they often face to challenging & problematic job in field state and dealing with large consumer market. XI. Recruitment and Selection policy of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited should be updated so that it can compete with other organization as well.
