The document outlines the structure and participants in the ONC HIT Certification Program. The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) manages the certification program. The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) accredits testing laboratories (ATLs) and the ONC-Approved Accreditor (ONC-AA) accredits and oversees ONC-Authorized Certification Bodies (ONC-ACBs). ATLs test health IT products and ONC-ACBs certify health IT products that developers and vendors create.
