My Mentoring
The My Mentoring program fosters relationships that
help you develop skills and knowledge while you reach
your career development goals. Mentors and Mentees
are matched based on their competencies and goals,
adding a uniquely personal dimension to formal and
informal learning opportunities.
You and your Mentor can also participate in monthly
Mentoring Lunch & Learns, where you and other
Mentor/Mentee teams build essential Mentoring
relationship skills and behaviors and share best
practices.
How it works
After you apply and are approved* to participate in
the program, you will receive training that guides you
through roles, responsibilities and how to use the web-
based My Mentoring matching system. You will use this
system to search among available Mentors and invite
them into a mentoring relationship. The initial match
is based on competency strengths and development
needs. You can also refine your search based on criteria
such as department, level and location.
Getting started
To learn more and apply to participate in the
program, visit the Performance Management &
Career Development page, Explore Mentoring &
Coaching. If you have questions, please e-mail the
Learning Academy at NNI L&D Training.
*Note: To qualify to participate in the program, participants
must have been a Novo Nordisk employee for at least 12
months, have at least a “Meets Expectations” or greater
performance rating, and have their Manager’s and HR
Business Partner’s approval. Applications for both Mentors
and Mentees are located on the Performance Management &
Career Development page, Explore Mentoring & Coaching.

on the bestselling book, “Getting to YES: Negotiating
Agreement without Giving In,” this course is designed to

Stress Management
With the right tools, you can take control of the stress
in your life instead of letting it control you. Participants
in this course learn the importance of how attitudes
impact stress levels and how to create a plan of action
to conquer stress. Each individual who attends will
receive a copy of Dale Carnegie’s Golden Book, which
outlines both his principles for controlling worry and
stress, as well as his human relations principles. These
principles are effective in maintaining and strengthening
relationships with individuals that can be difficult.
Additionally, the principles will help you to cultivate an
attitude of greater self-confidence.

•	A plan to conquer stress by focusing on past successes and learning from them to control
stress going forward
•	Strategies to overcome excessive worry and tension
