5. Additional information concerning my employment
I have 20 years ‘experience in the electrical & mechanical field in the heavy industry,
mining industry, as well as the corporate and general fields of the business. I have 2
years senior supervisory experience. I also have 10 years training experience from
training apprentices, artisans and students in different disciplines. Health and safety
and quality assessment is one of my strong points. I also have experience in turning
work on lathes as well as welding, plumbing, rigging and any means necessary to
solve any trade related problem or to give training in any of these areas. I have been
working away from home for more than 8 years but my supporting system has been
of such a structure that there were no complications working away from home. My 20
years’ experience and family have assisted me in this aspect. I have received the artisan
of the year award in 2013.
