a
former
marketing
communications
practitioner,
I
am
a
big
fan
of
experiential
learning.
Last
semester,
one
of
the
accounts
for
which
my
students
competed
was
RBC
Student
Account.
The
Client
briefed
my
students
on
their
(real
world)
challenge
and
assigned
them
to
come
up
with
a
solution,
given
a
specified
budget.
They
worked
in
teams
of
four
and
the
Client
chose
the
best
campaign.
Maryam
Amoui
Kalareh
was
the
Captain
of
the
winning
team!
Maryam
walks
a
lot
more
than
she
talks.
She
listens
with
interest
and
makes
notes.
She
does
her
work
and
looks
for
more.
She
doesn’t
just
want
to
get
the
job
done;
she
wants
to
sweep
her
clients
of
their
feet.
To
that
end,
Maryam
shepherds
her
team
to
sell
with
their
ears.
When
you’re
looking
for
tenacity
without
ego,
teamwork
without
drama
and
results
without
ulcers,
Maryam
should
be
a
person
