SCIM (System for Cross Domain Identity)
• A standard model for representing users, groups, and
other resources across multiple different applications.
• Provides a standard method for linking your systems
together to make managing identities in cloud-based
applications and services much easier.
• A REST call is made along with some parameters to
identify what must be done.
• Operations can be carried out to: POST, PUT, DELETE
• Identify where to send the information by providing the
details of the SCIM interface at the application level.

Assumptions
• Anypoint Platform doesn’t have External Identity Management (SSO).
• Identity system and target service or application doesn’t support SCIM.
20. 20
● Automating lifecycle management in real time can save an organization significant amounts of resources.
● Using MuleSoft Custom API that act as a SCIM, it keeps identities synchronised across platforms, makes user data more secure and
simplifies the user experience by automating the user identity lifecycle management process.
● With SCIM in place, the administrators could focus on developing the IT infrastructure.
● In the design, consider the policies, standards and process of your organization.
