Scientific Influences
 Loved science and art as a kid (sports too).

 John Audubon and George Washington Carver are my
  favorite scientist-artists.
More Modern Influences
 Marlin Perkins (zoology), Jacques Cousteau
(oceanography), and Carl Sagan (cosmology) were my
favorite modern day scientists because they actually
 taught me science on T.V.
Techy Things, Career Etc.
I actually went to Tuskegee University where Dr. Carver built
the school’s scientific reputation. (Did you know he and
Einstein were pals?)

I earned my engineering degree there and worked at a couple
of different companies for close to 11 years where I learned a
lot about machinery (assembly line conveyors, automated
machines)

Did you know there is a BIIIIIIG difference between science
and engineering? (Ask me later and I’ll be happy to explain the
two.)
Digital Art
Disliked engineering sufficiently (not creative enough
for my tastes) that I had to change careers.

I’m currently an animation student at DePaul University
in the Loop. (Check out my website, The Animated
World of Martin Lindsey, www.martinlindsey.com)

I’ve learned 2D and 3D animation and here at the Fab
Lab I finally get to combine my love of science and
digital art every day.
