2. This portfolio is selection of the Designs my teams have
created. It shows only fraction of the innovations we were
able to produce to marketplace. Work started from extensive
design language development through product concepting
and finally product programs. Our E-series range made radical
boost to Business Unit profit.
Major reason was our outstanding
industrial design added with carefully crafted usability and
selection of materials.
3. My Design Team starts always from building
understanding of available technologies and consumer
needs
4. When we have clear picture of possibilities we start to
challenge them with period of innovation workshops
and focused individual tasks.
5. After series of technical and usability checks, creative
reviews we crispen our thinking. Then we move to
customer reviews with 2D and 3D material.
6. We continue to do things even better. Progress after
every phase.
7. We do not always get our ideas into marketplace.
8. E65
We took learnings from
previous products in range and
made consumer focused
business device with hint of
premium touch. Focused on
details and great usability in
small size.
9. E90
At the same time we took
challenge to provide ”office in
the pocket” to heavy users of
office applications.
11. E51
Users who were looking
traditional and trustworthy
device were forgotten.
12. 2008 Concepts
Business Unit was given last chance to make something
with their badly selling QWERTY monoblock. R&D,
marketing and Design Team came up with an idea.

14. E71
As we worked for something
we believed would change the
world any compromise had to
be studied with extra
precision.
15. E63
Business wanted sturdy and
reliable version of E71. Plastic
but not loosing anything we
had achived.
16. E66
E65 was getting old and
challenge was to follow E71
success. None believed we
could beat that.
17. E6
How to make traditional
technology and UI still inviting
for business customers?
