I am an Applied Statistician and presently completing a PhD in Statistics focusing on Bayesian Methods. My research focuses on fast data analytics so that very large datasets can be dealt with successfully. This involves creating advanced Variational Inference algorithms aimed at fitting complex and elaborate statistical models which take only a fraction of the time compared to present conventional methods such as Markov chain Monte Carlo. Having consulted in various industries, I would like to extend my work in Applied Statistics across a wider range of commercial problems, so that I can continue to increasingly apply fast approximation methods to the world of Big Data.
