• Graduated with academic merit.
• I was part of the Bermuda Young Riders programme, which started in the early
1980's.
• At the age of 18 I went to live and compete in the United States where I stayed for
approximately 10 years. I was coached in the US by Carol Blackman, Ralph Hill and
Louise Merryiman. I trained for 3 to 4 years with Louise and worked at the
Millbrook Equestrian Centre.
• 1992 - Undertook coaching by Terry Allen for jumping and on the flat.
Personal Achievements:
• In 1985 I competed at the North American Young Riders Championships in Chicago
riding Carol Ann Blackman's horse 'Sight Unseen' placing 4th individually.
• 1990 I competed at the World Championship in Sweden in 1990 riding 'Bermuda's
Pizzaz'
• 1991- I competed at the Pan American Championships in November on 'Bermuda's
Option' - winning the individual silver medal and also a silver medal for the team.
• 1992- competed at the Olympic Games in Barcelona riding 'Bermuda's Option'.
• 1994 qualified for the World Equestrian Games riding 'Bermuda Pizzaz' but had to
withdraw.
• 1996 qualified for the Olympic Games in Atlanta, but an accident whilst lunging my
horse 'Bermuda's Gold' at home prevented me from competing.
• 1997 completed Burghley CCI **** in the UK riding 'Bermuda's Gold'.
• 1998 completed Badminton CCI**** in the UK riding Bermuda's Gold.
• 1999, having been nominated by the Bermuda Equestrian Federation, I was selected as
Bermuda's Female Athlete of the Year,
• 1998 competed in the World Equestrian Games in Rome riding 'Bermuda's Gold'.
• 1999 won the individual Gold Medal at the Pan American Games
• 2000 competed in the Olympics in Sydney riding 'Bermuda's Gold'.
Career History:
I have been based at Frillinghurst Farm with 'Team Frillinghurst' - Patrick and
Amanda Rolfe. I have been there since 1995 and first met Patrick and Amanda when I
started teaching them and went on to train Patrick for eventing. My situation evolved
and I went on to breed event horses at the farm.
