How would I recruit top talents?
2
In case I needed to recruit top talents, I would be looking for persons who had the
same qualities and talent as I have. I believe that a good co-operation depends vastly on
common characteristics that we shared, so that we would be able to relate and therefore
function in a healthy way. I would be looking for people who are ‘loyal’, ‘open-minded’,
‘honest’, with good ‘communication skills’, and persons that are being ‘introspective’, as well as
being ‘aware’ of their own worth as persons. Apart from their technical skills, it would be very
important to me to see that they were willing to put their Ego aside when needed, and work
toward a ‘solution’, instead of wishing to be right most of the time. The target that we would
share, would be the final product. In order to materialize a final product that would eventually
sell, proper communication is essential. Good ‘problem solving’ skills and the ability to ‘listen’,
3
would also be abilities that I would look for. This is when the mind’s creativity levels appear at
their highest, especially when there is a ‘variety’ of solutions.
Personally, I would choose creators who ‘loved’ their work, and who put priority to
love and concern in their product –showing therefore to me that they truly cared for their
customers-, rather than speed as much. Yes, deadlines are important at times, but I would be
understanding if more time was needed –after they proved it to me that they ran out of time-
for the sake of good ‘quality’. Most of the time, we all find out that more time is needed than
we had anticipated. Consumers feel the need to feel ‘special’. How do we make them feel
special? By offering them a product of ‘quality’, showing them that way that we ‘respect’ them
as persons that they are. We respect their ‘true’ needs. Quality ALWAYS sells. So, if I wanted to
recruit people in the near future, I would pay a lot more attention on the ‘quality’ of their
finished product, AND to the way they presented it to me. That would say much to me about
the person, with its quality or lack of it. Every time I have a product in front of me, I can ‘feel’
what kind of personality its creator is like, and what their levels of ‘sensitivity’ and ‘awareness’
are. A product depicts the ‘energy’ that we emit as persons, whether it takes the form of food
receipes, clothes, an illustration, a book being written, an animation, a movie, a car, etc. The
form does not matter. It is the vibrations that matter. It is the ‘result’ that matters. How does
the product ‘feel’ like to me?
So, personally, as a Creator who cares about her target audience and who wishes
that they hold a ‘treasure’ in their hands, I would not be as rigid as far as hiring a professional is
concerned. I have had classmates in my Foundation course, who were better than many
4
professionals who are currently working out there. I would be looking for a Creator with a
capital C. A creator who have been working with their own character, flaws and strengths, who
are being highly aware of their own weaknesses, and have been doing their best to correct
them. I do not care in this case what other employers’ needs are, I care about MY own work’s
needs. So, it depends very much on every single employer’s personal definition of the word
‘professional’. To some employers, speed is more important than quality. To ME, ‘quality’ is far
more important than speed. I don’t care at which Colleges or Universities Graduates may have
studied. I care about the above certain qualities that are important for the specific result I want
to achieve. And how about the definition that other people give to it?
To ME, ‘top talent’ is a person who has worked first of all with their own personal
issues in depth, and have been therefore feeling ‘worthy’ to create by the help of their self-
confidence, by their ability to ‘control’ and ‘focus’ their mind onto the beautiful side of Life
mostly, and by the use of their right side of brain, rather than the left side as much.
WHEN is it that we use the right side of our brain? We use it every time we do research on
‘pictures’ rather than text, when we ‘feel’ the colors, the image that causes a certain ‘feeling’
within us, when we experience a three dimensional environment that we visit, an environment
that makes us feel one way or another. The right side of our brain, helps us ‘feel’, and imprints
the experience in our subconscious mind. It helps us ‘KNOW’ somehow that what we have in
our imagination, is RIGHT for us. This method has helped me vastly in my creations, especially in
book writing. By visiting various Museums, the scenes I was looking for, started emerging
quickly and easily within my imagination. When we combine such experience with the
5
knowledge we accumulated by the use of the left side of our brain, the result is AMAZING! The
use of the left side on its own, is NOT enough. Our mind needs to be stimulated every now and
then, with new experiences in order for our imagination to be enriched.
Another element I would look for when making a decision as to whom to recruit,
would be ‘lateral’ thinking. To me, lateral thinking is important, since I want my product to be
unique and to stand out among all those other products. I do NOT buy into what some people
support that there is no originality anymore. We are all ‘individuals’ with different experiences
in life, and with a mind that is actually a powerful ‘tool’. How we use it, is up to us, whether we
choose to use it in a negative, destructive way, or in a positive, creative way. If we choose to
create something ‘unique’ like we all are unique human beings, then this product WILL be
unique. No matter what other pessimistic people may say to us. It all depends on our ‘power of
Intention’. No other person will be able to create the same product. Imagination has NO limits.
Something else that would be important to me in a person, would be their ability in
‘decision making’, and being able to ‘challenge me’ with their knowledge and expertise, instead
of me guiding them most of the time. “Impress me! Show me ‘spirit’ in what you do, and your
deep connection with it.” This is what I would say to people in case I wanted to recruit. I would
expect to see from top talents their lack of fear in ‘experimenting’, as far as technical skills are
concerned, some good design skills –if I was looking for a character designer- a good
combination of colors, good ‘organizational’ skills, strong ‘visualization’ skills, and
‘commitment’. Would their final work make me feel like crying by its beauty and elegance? If
yes, then the job would be theirs!
6
I mentioned somewhere above how important ‘presentation’ skills would be to me:
In what way they had thought to present their work to me. If a person came to me and showed
me a bunch of sketches and paintings in a big bulk, without having paid any attention to any
presentation method, I would realize instantly their lack of organizational skills. If I amto pay
people for the work to be done in a shorter time, I would rather pay a person with highly
organizational skills that made my eyes stretch wide open, as soon as I saw their worthy work
being presented in a manner that it was worth being presented.
Last and lot least, I would expect top talents’ work to be ‘original’, and that creators would not
have copied other people’s work in one way or another.
