To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to offer my endorsementofLyle Nasser.Iworked with Lyle at Kaiser Permanente in the Financial
Planning Departmentfrom 2001 to 2003.Our departmentwas responsible for the Rate Setting, the Operating and
Capital Budget, and the Revised Forecast. Our operating budgethad $1.3B in revenues, with an operating margin of
4-6%, an operating income of$78M and a labor force of 4,000 employees.Lyle provided innovation and creativity to
the Financial Planning Team.He was a key player in establishing operating expense trend reports and budget
templates thatwere distributed to the Operational Managers, during budgetseason.
Lyle was considered the principal resource, for the department, for the software application MicrosoftAccess. He was
instrumental in developing our FTE Reports utilizing this software. He and I worked together on the Colorado
Permanente Medical Group’s (CPMG’s) Venture Capital Projects. Our physicians provided some services to pa tients
that were not covered under the regular Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Plan. The patients therefore paid
out of pocket for these services. The CPMG is legally a separate entity from the Health Plan; therefore this was
considered a revenue stream for the Medical Group. Each projectwas established with its own Pro forma in the Start
Up phase and monthlyfinancial statements. An example of this service was Invitro Fertilization. Lyle provided the pro
formas and monthlyincome statements for manyof these projects.
