 Summer internship at Jadavpur University, West Bengal
Field of work: Natural language processing and text analytics.
Goal: Developing multi-purpose corpora using VerbNet for Question generation and Question
answering.
Description: Studying different verb classes given in VerbNet, extracting examples and synonyms
and using it for developing two different corpuses. Deducing a new algorithm for question generation
and producing a corpus of questions from taking the corpuses generated earlier as an input.
Programming language used: JAVA.
Technology used: NetBeans IDE 6.9, Stanford POS Tagger, Stanford Name Entity Recognizer,
VerbNet.
 Minor project at MANIT, Bhopal
Field of work: Steganography
Goal: Data hiding using RGB image.
Description: Developed a new algorithm to hide a message in English text into an RGB image, so as
to achieve better results for PSNR value, Entropy and MSE, compared to the works proposed earlier
in this field.
Technology used: MATLAB version 7.9.0.529(R2009b)
Achievements
 Secured a position as a research intern at Jadavpur University, West Bengal and successfully
completed my term over there and recently working on a research paper.
 Presented a paper entitled Blue Brain, in National Conference 2015 organised by the department of
Information Technology at LNCT Group of Colleges.
 Secured a position among the elite students of the batch, SGPA of 8.52(till 6th
semester).
Hobbies and Extracurricular activities
 Attended guest lecture series in SRAJAN 2013 and SRAJAN 2015 organised by IEEE MANIT
Student branch.
 Drawing and sketching. Secured 9th
position at National level Navneet Drawing Competition.
 Interested in coding. Occasionally participate in Online/ Offline (College level) coding contests.
 Sudoku solving, reading fictional novels and travelling.
 Enthusiast participant of Technosearch MANIT (annual technical festival organised by MANIT).
