I feel my background as a native NYer strongly influences my work as a photographer, as does my love of history, particularly my interest in the history of NYC. I am also strongly influenced by being raised by parents who were both recreational painters and theatre professionals before my birth. I was exposed early on to all kinds of art, as well as attending Broadway performances from a very early age. Following college, I pursued a career as a dancer and actress for several years myself before a knee injury sidelined me, and I started pursuing my hobby of photography as a full-time career.
