Announcing our 2013 Women @LinkedIn Programs

Welcome to the new W@LI subgroup on LinkedIn! On behalf of the team, I am thrilled to share with you
some information about our planned W@LI programs for the coming year.

In 2012, we launched the Mentor Ring program in several offices across the company. Mentor Rings are
comprised of small groups of women with common interests who commit to meet regularly to learn
from each other, coach each other, and share experiences and ideas. It’s a chance to connect with cross-
functional peers and with women at different stages of their careers. The content and topics are decided
by individual members of the ring – depending on who is the “mentor” that for that particular meeting
(the role of mentor rotates among the group). Ultimately, you’ll gain useful skills to achieve both
personal and professional goals – and meet some great LinkedIn women along the way.

As a proud launch partner of Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In organization (www.leanin.org), we will be taking
what we learned from our MentorRings in 2012 and modeling our 2013 program to align with the “Lean
In Circles” (http://leanin.org/circles/). The LinkedIn Mentor Ring program will launch in Q2.

Additionally, Regional Leaders have volunteered to guide our W@LI program in several offices around
the globe. Their role will be to lead the program from a planning and budget perspective. They will
work with W@LI members in each office to connect regularly around initiatives on a local level. These
leaders will also be responsible for hosting bi-annual W@LI Networking Events across the company. We
will encourage our Regional Leaders to incorporate local female leaders as speakers and philanthropic
efforts into their annual calendar of events as appropriate.

W@LI will also continue to support, host, and drive interesting content and initiatives through our new
W@LI sub-group. This will be an increasingly important space where you can get involved and be part of
the larger female community here at LinkedIn. We’ll also continue to announce exciting speakers that
will be available to our global membership.

It’s never been a better time to get involved in the Women @LinkedIn community. Together, we can
change the trajectory of women and inspire each other to achieve our goals.Join [in]!
