RE: Elisabeth Renée Pauline Maria Raymakers – Physiotherapy practice 2013 - 2014
Elisabeth Raymakers volunteered as a supernumerary physiotherapist at the Physiotherapy Department,
Grey’s Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa from Oct 2013 to November 2014. The agreed period of
work was 4 mornings per week, but Elisabeth frequently assisted by working longer hours and
sometimes worked a full 5 days.
She also offered training sessions to nursing staff, and both attended and provided presentations which
were part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme. Elisabeth was also tasked
with assisting the development of a physiotherapy programme to Oncology in and out patients, which
included presentations to Oncologists, Allied Health Staff and development of educational material.
