Since retiring, he has worked on various part-time projects, including closet design, basement remodeling, and substitute teaching.

Achieved expert status in basement waterproofing systems (B-Dry Waterproofing, Baltimore,
MD)
Completely re-wrote sales materials to achieve 50 percent closing rate at B-Dry
Self-learned 20-20 CAD system to design kitchens (Dennis Kitchen and Bath, Mt. Airy MD, now
out of business)
3. Self published the novel, Museum of the Mind. Did the page layout, formatting, and cover

Completely finished a large basement, including bath, so I am very familiar with the remodeling
and home-building industry.
Passed the tests in Frederick County, MD and Franklin County, PA to do my own home
electrical wiring
