Lee Newby is a theatre designer who graduated in 2011 with honors from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. He has since worked as an associate designer on productions with Christopher Oram, including for The Michael Grandage Company and Kenneth Branagh's Macbeth. Upcoming, Lee will serve as associate designer for Grey Gardens and set and costume designer for productions including Dogfight. He continues to assist Christopher Oram and other notable designers on productions in London, New York, and beyond.

Graduating in 2011 with a first class BA Honours degree in Theatre Design from The Liverpool Institute for
Performing Arts, Lee was awarded the Phillip Holt Trust Commendation Award.
Lee has worked as an associate designer on many acclaimed productions with theatre designer Christopher Oram,
including The Michael Grandage Company’s inaugural West End season and Kenneth Branagh’s Macbeth.
Most recently, Lee worked with artist Paolo Ventura to design sets for a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s
Carousel at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
