BUZZ
LET’S TALK
Power of Parenthood
Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson, 35, relishes
his role as a dad. We couldn’t help but notice how his
love of parenting is apparent in the wisdom he shares
with us. Happy Father’s Day!
•LEAVE WORK AT WORK
When I come home at the end of the day, I pause to remind
myself that I’m a father and a spouse—roles that matter
more than my occupation. If you need to, take a moment
to decompress in the driveway, so that when you come
through that door, you’re fully there.
•KNOW YOU’RE NOT PERFECT
With my first child, I remember feeling that everything
had to be done exactly right, from diapering to swaddling.
But as you get older, you realize that what matters
so much more is getting quality time with your child.
•SHOW THEM DADS MATTER TOO
Some men today still get the message that fathers don’t have
to be present physically, so long as they provide.
Not true. Your child needs you to be hands-on, loving,
and compassionate. —Jenn Sinrich

“You’d think that
[babies] would
come with instincts
around fire
and large falls and
they don’t. I
don’t understand
how the prehistoric
man lived.”

Genius Place
to Pump
Keep an eye out for
lactation stations popping
up at airports, malls,
zoos, and stadiums in the
U.S. Created by Mamava,
these free suites are about
as wide as three restroom
stalls and have a power
outlet, chair, and table for
you to privately nurse
or pump. “I could relax and
feed my baby without
worries or distractions,”
repeat-user Angela Kruse,
a mom of one in Madison,
Wisconsin, told us. Get
locations at mamava.com.

“I love its neutral, natural
beauty. A sleeping baby with
an old-fashioned,
quality-made paci is simple
perfection!” @jessi.kauffman
“I try to be very intentional
about what I buy for my
boys, so I love that this paci
has character but is
still practical.” @ro.birkley
