It begins with resources in Johnson County, Kansas, including evaluations, treatment centers, and the largest provider, Johnson County Mental Health. Next, it lists the Kansas Department of Children and Families and Kansas Alcoholics Anonymous as state resources. Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to outline the resources that are available to aid with people who are
suffering from addiction. The resource list will have basic explanations of services for county
and personal state level. The state by state resource list will be simply a directory of services.
The international and national resources will be an explanation of resources available by those
institutions.

Comprehensive Database of Addiction Resources
It is important when in a situation in which resources are needed for the aid of others that
the resources need be immediately available. In a dire situation it can be hard to stop and look at
the resources around you. If you already have a list of the resources available to you; it is that
much more efficiently you can help your clients. That is why I have decided to create a
comprehensive database of resources for people suffering from addiction. This list is subjective
to the area in which I live in.
Johnson County Kansas
The first resource I am giving for Johnson County is the Johnson County resource
database http://courts.jocogov.org/cs_actp.aspx. It has a list of resources on this page for Adult
Anger Control, Adult Batterer’s Intervention, Adult Parenting, Adult Sex Offender Counseling,
Substance Abuse Evaluations, Substance Abuse Treatment and Adult Early
Intervention/Education. When you click on any of these links it opens up a pdf with information
and resources that are available. The first one I am looking at is the Substance Abuse
Evaluations.

a large amount of threats including alcoholics. This includes physical and mental

It also goes into the resources that are available for Hospitals though I do not think that that
resource is needed on this list. All hospitals will have outpatient services or at least references for
people suffering from addiction in order to prevent reentry into the hospital. There is a link to a
half-way house. The list is only one in the state of Kansas but has about 10 for Missouri. It is
easy to assume with the two states so close to each that people from Kansas might use the
Missouri resources, though I just think it is an incomplete list. The one halfway house listed for
Kansas is DCCCA, INC. (785) 841-4138 345 Florida Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
Lastly, this resource has a link to all the steps and Traditions, Bi-Laws and Literature that
you might need when attending the Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings.
Resource List by State
The following list is not just handy f or giving someone resources to continue their
recovery in the event of relocation. It is also handy for tracking down documentation of past
treatments in other states; should there be a need to do so. At the very least it is a comprehensive
list of resources that make good starting points when needing information located in another
state. I have also bulleted it to allow for personal customization. Should I get more phone
numbers later for different divisions in that state; they can simply be added under the state. I
would recommend for easier browsing to use the Control-F function and type the state you are
looking for if it becomes to comprehensive a list.
