The Community Partnership Trust was officially launched in Brisbane today by Queensland Senator Claire Moore, who announced Operation Smile Australia and The Romero Centre as Queensland’s inaugural Community Partners. The Community Partnership Trust – a superannuation industry-first initiative – was established in November 2010 and provides LUCRF Super with a unique opportunity to engage with the communities in which its members live and work. In that time it has supported more than 14 worthy community projects in Victoria and New South Wales. The Community Partnership Trust forms a partnership with employers, employees and members who pledge their support through a Workplace Giving Program or one-off contributions. “We hope to make a real difference in people’s lives and inspire others to do similar things because there are many people in our community who need a helping hand." said Mr Sword AM In the coming months, the circle of generosity will grow wider as the Community Partnership Trust takes its good work to South Australia.
