Eden’s
Daughter
The Personal Narrative
and Family History of
Hazel Pearl Saline Tanner
Hazel Pearl Saline Tanner
was born in the small town of
Eden, Arizona, in 1911. The
granddaughter of Mormon
pioneers, Hazel grew up with
strong religious faith and
dedication to family.
Hazel took great care to
record her family’s stories
and genealogy. In this book
are accounts written by Hazel
herself, as well as several by
her relatives in the Tanner, Curtis, Jackman, and Saline
families, among others.
This collection also contains about a hundred historical
photos and documents featuring Hazel’s relatives from
Arizona and places as far away as England and Finland.
Hazel’s memoir and family histories will be enjoyed by
anyone interested in genealogy, Arizona pioneers, or the
early days of the LDS church.
Hazel has had many experiences in her life, and it is the
Lord’s will that she tell these experiences to her children and
grandchildren, that they may know of the goodness of our
Heavenly Father to his children.
—from Hazel’s 1974 patriarchal blessing
Hazel created this pastel drawing of
her family home in Eden.
