Executive Summary
This report is based on the research work conducted to identify the Insurance facility provide by
the Nepal life insurance company limited to there potential customer. The objectives to
conducting the report is to find out the various insurance policy provided by the NLIC. The
research is limited up to the various insurance facility provided by the NLIC, their maturity
period etc.
Method of data collection include the direct observation, questionnaire and through the help of
the internet. And method of data collection includes tabulation and diagrammatic presentation of
the collected data. NLIC is the one of the first life insurance company in Nepal established by the
Nepali citizens. NLIC plays a vital role in the field of the insurance.
From the study it is found that the Nepal life insurance have 9 types of insurance policies, they
are Nepal Life Jeevan Jyoti Plan, Jeevan SAMBRIDHI, new Term Life Insurance, Single
Premium Endowment Policy (Saral Jeevan Beema Yojana), Jeevan Sarathi Beema Yojana,
Jeevan Sahara, Jeevan Laxmi – Triple Benefit Scheme with Bonus, Keta-Keti Jeevan bema
(Shiksha and Vivah), and Surakshit Jeevan Beema Yojana.
Among these types of insurance they have different types of features in themselves. They carry
different rates of interest, maturity period, insurance terms. Among them Keta Keti bema yojana
have least entry age i.e. the age of birth. And the highest entry age belongs to Jeevan Sahara
bema yojana i.e. 65 years. And the highest maturity is the age of 70 years which also belongs to
the Jeevan Sahara. The insurance term is also differ from each other, the least insurance term is
the 5 year and the highest insurance term is year 54 of jeevan Sahara bema yojana. The sum
assured of these types of insurance is also differing from each other. The minimum sum assured
is Rs 25000, and the maximum sum assured is on the basic of the income of insurer. Note that
On the basis of income is not more then the 3 times then the other issued maximum sum assured.
