1. During my time at Best Buy, the corporate office asked the stores to get creative for driving sales
during the “Back to School” season. At my store I took on the challenge and created a “Back to
School” ad every week. These ads showcased different laptops in that week’s ad. It also bundled
in everything a new college student or high school student would need when buying a new
computer such as a protection plan, Anti-Virus software, Office software, case, mouse, Geek
Squad optimization etc. All for one price. It hit on every area that Best Buy wanted a sale to hit
on in the Computer Department.

2. These ads were so successful that my manager wanted me to create some other ads to use in
other areas of the department and eventually other areas of the store.

3. The below ads were 3x6 cards that were placed next to price tags of the laptops the showed
customers what was included with the different types of Geek Squad optimizations. These
services were a big push at my store. When I left the company and returned many months later to
buy something I went through the computer department and the store was still using these cards.
