WHO WE ARE
We are a multi-disciplinary landscape practice, specialising in a
range of practical systems used to inform every landscape design
proposal and consultancy report. Management of the landscape
through care of trees, plants and landform processes is key to

SERVICES
Our landscape design proposals are subject to the Landscape
Institutes Landscape Consultant appointment works stages A –
L, where we work closely with all stakeholders and design team
members to ensure compliance with legal requirements and
efficient landscape design. As part of the wider development
design process we offer consultancy advice toward BS5837 Tree
Survey, Arboricultural Method Statements and Planning report to
extinguish planning conditions in respect of landscape matters.
CLIENTS
We are currently providing the following service:
Tree survey consultancy and ongoing tree protection auditing for
CALA (East) Homes at their sites in Edinburgh, for Forth
Housing Association at their site in Dunblane. Along with a
number of private developers across Scotland.
Landscape design for the new stream proposals at The
University of Dundee Botanic Gardens, and Community
garden proposals for Glenboig Neighbourhood House.
Roadside Hazard tree inspections on private estates for DGA
Forestry across Scotland and England and Spiers Gumley
across the Central belt.
Environmental consultancy for MacLay Civil Engineering &
Covanburn Contracts.
ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2007 Management Systems

CALA (EAST) HOMES
We provided landscape planning through the preparation of a
range of reports including BS5837: 2015 Trees in relation to
design demolition and construction – Recommendations, BRE
209 Site Layout Planning for Daylight and Sunlight and Wildlife &
Countryside Act 1981 to ensure planning permission is achieved
and construction managed in regard to the planning conditions.
DUNDEE BOTANIC GARDEN
Preparation of a naturalistic stream feature at Dundee Botanic
Garden, using research into fluvial geomorphology, to create a
series of pools, rifles and meanders. The designs taken to Stage
D (Sketch design) of the Landscape Consultants Appointment.
GLENBOIG NEIGHBOURHOOD HOUSE
Preparation of spatial design to meet the requirements of this
ambitious community business to develop both quality and
comfortable spaces, along with educational and inclusive
lochside interests to meet all ages.
DGA FORESTRY
Roadside hazard tree survey to meet the legal requirements of
the Occupiers Liability Act 1957 in England and the Occupiers
Liability (Scotland) Act 1960 in Scotland, along with the UK
requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. Each
survey assess risk based on likelihood of a tree failing and
consequence of the failure in respect of life, limb and property.
