Do you get sweaty while driving or sitting in your car, as the air conditioner of your car is
broken? Well, in this post, you’ll find some great tips to fix broken AC of your car. But first,
let’s get a brief idea of the air conditioner system of car.
Unlike the air conditioning system in your home and office, auto AC is actually a
refrigerator holding an odd structure. It is mainly designed to stir heat from one place (i.e.
from your car) to another place outside (in the outdoor). While penning about every single
component of the auto AC will go outside the scope of this post, the below explanation of
some of the major components of auto air conditioner will give you better idea of its
functionality, and will also help you identify the problem.
• Compressor: As the name suggests, it compresses and circulates the refrigerant in the
system
• Refrigerant: It carries the heat from one place to another
• Condenser: It converts the liquid refrigerant into a liquid form and then blow out the
heat expelled from the car
• Expansion valve: Along with nozzle, it works to reduce the pressure of the refrigerant
liquid
• Evaporator: It expels the heat to the refrigerant and cools your car
• Receiver/dryer: It works as a filter for the refrigerant/oil; it removes moisture and
other contaminants.
Now, here are four tips to fix the AC of your car, or automobile vehicle

First, check if all the R-134a (refrigerant) is getting leaked out. If this is the case, there is
nothing in the system working to expel the heat. Leakages can be easily checked for, but
they are not easy to fix. You first need to get a fluorescent dye to check for leaks, and it will
be having instructions for use printed on the can.
2. If the problem is more severe, the system would have complete lack of pressure. Check the
low-side of valve and then check the PSI level using a gauge. Remember, you can’t use
anything else to prod the valve to know if it will be released or not; it’s called venting and it
is illegal. You may take your car to a good auto air conditioner repair in your area, and
leave the rest on them.

your car, start it, power on the AC, and then
examine the compressor. The air conditioner
compressor is basically a pump-like thing. It
won’t be having a filler cap above it, but
mostly have one or two things that look like
valve stems of a bike tire. There is an outer
pulley on the front of the compressor.
When both the air conditioner and the blower are on, and if the center of the pulley is not
turning, then it shows that the compressor's clutch is not engaging. The chances are it may
be due to blown fuse, bad wiring or a broken AC switch problem.

Sometimes the AC is working okay but due to low pressure, the cooling level goes very low.
You can simply refill the refrigerant, and enjoy those cool breezes in your car again!
If this fixes don’t help you, find an auto air conditioner service Cape Coral, Florida in your
